March: In like a Lion and out like a Triceratops

Well we have been experiencing actual Spring weather...and a little winter too. Usually here Spring is one week of soggy/rainy/sleet/some snow confusion and then we get into summer, but this month we've had a whole month of it! I really wonder if we will get a summer if it keeps going like this.

Well Aunt Shelley sent some dinosaurs and Brigs dino brigade is expanding! He absolutely loves them - Thank You Aunt Shelley! Here's a Triceratops fact for you: While the normal diet of herbivores are plants & trees; the Triceratops also enjoys popcorn.

After 5 months of rehearsing our cast is ready to perform Steel Magnolias. Ryan's parents came up to see it and the day before the performance these beauties arrived from Nan, Anne, Merisa & Natalie - Thanks you guys!!!

Steel Magnolias went over really, really well. We had full audiences all three nights. It was wonderful to be on the stage again and it was great to be part of such a strong female cast. I have to admit by closing night I was pretty wiped out. Late nights, line memorizing, cold rehearsal spaces, multiple colds {and the week before no voice at all} not to mention toddler & husband to care for and house to clean - I was ready to have my nights back. Bittersweet.

We had a pre-birthday party for Brigham while Grandpa & Grandma Steiny were here. Can you say "Jumbo Dinosaurs?" Brigs was beyond thrilled and has had one in each hand since.

Brigham's life is now complete. Along with jumbo dinosaurs he has now had  a happy meal in his system. Why do they have to make their french fries taste so good?

We got snow! Good snow. Snowman snow. I bundled Brigs up and we headed outside to make a snowman which was then turned into a tri-snow-atops.

As the sun came out the snow started to melt. By the end of the day the only snow left in the yard was the three lumps used to make the triceratops. This pic was taken shortly after the snowman building. We walked down the street to get the mail and Brigs insisted on walking through the slushy snow...he loves slushy snow.

Watching "Dinosaur Train" has made Brigham very observant, "That is a big hippo Momma" or "He's wearing a blue shirt" or this case-in-point "I want to look at your giant, big, sharp, teeth Daddy" {no joke we are getting into 8 word sentences now}
