It's A.........Niece!!

Powered by GoodWidgets.com
Katrina Lynn Jackson-Caldiero was born on 8-8-08 at 8:15am weighing 8 lbs 4 oz in labor and delievery room #8 at Cottonwood Hospital. Both Mommy (Jeanette, my sister) and Katrina are doing really well. In case you were wondering, Jeanette didn't plan on this date - at all! Katrina was actually two days late, being due on the 6th. So, as you can imagine, Jeanette didn't even care about the date once labor started - she was just happy that Katrina was actually here!!Jeanette & Katrina are at home now and so far Katrina's favorite things to do are: sleep, eat, be held & loves being bundled up in a blanket. She has a carpet of black hair on her head (which explains the indegestion Jeanette would always have) it's soft, wavy, about an inch long & aunt Michelle loves touching it. These pictures don't show it, but she has looong fingers and long toes. Tiffany, older sister, so far seems fine, but we're pretty sure that this week she will learn that this little baby is here to stay and not visiting! Ryan & I are excited to add one more to the clan (see proud picture with all of our nieces & nephews on my side). As Katrina's favorite Aunt, I gave her her first cheek pinches!!

Breaking Dawn

So me & my friends Kelley & Merisa (and later an addition of Ryan's cousin Meghan) all stood in line at the American Fork Wal-Mart for the release of Breaking Dawn. We got there at 10:30pm and the line, which had started at customer service in the back of the store, was beginning to wind around the DVD's. We considered ourselves lucky. It didn't take too long for the line to reach all the way back to hardwares and by 11:50 it had wrapped around back to pharmacy ( you enter Wal Mart, turn left, pass the flowers & you hit the pharmacy). There wasn't anyone dressed up (thank goodness, crazy, but true - I feel there is a time & a place for dress up), but we did have a group of 16 year old boys that were taking a poll of Edward vs. Jacob. I am happy to report that Edward had the solid lead! We had fun and each got our copy. Kelley bought me one for my birthday - early, early, birthday present - how did she know that I wanted that?!? Thanks Kell! I am excited to start reading, but if you are a fan, don't worry - I don't like to share spoilers so you are safe! Go Edward!!!!!

Shout Out to our Nieces & Nephews

We have the BEST job in the world! We are the favorite Aunt & Uncle to Bryson, Abby, Parker, Tiffany, Caiden & It (soon to come on August 6th)! The best part about our vacation was being able to spend so much time with our nieces and nephews. We've played, slept, swam, jumped, walked, talked and sang and sang and sang! They are the best and ....well obviously the cutest ever! The only thing they could change is the growing......Here is a collage of all of them Bryson (8 - Chad & Shelly), Abby (5 - Chad & Shelly), Parker (1 - Chad & Shelly), Tiffany (1 - Jeanette) & Caiden (8 months - Jared). We are excited to expand! Jeanette is due this August! WE LOVE THEM ALL!! Enjoy and click on the cuteness!

Hogle Zoo & Tiffy Too!

We thought it would be fun to go to Hogle Zoo and see the "Ghost of the Bayou" the white aligator. Now let me just take a moment and share with you the coolness of this alligator. #1. It's real!! #2. There are only 10 known white alligators in the U.S. #3. White alligators are only found in the US (Louisana) #4. Only 1 in 10,000 alligators have the "white gene" and two alligators with that gene have to mate to make a white alligator. That's pretty darn rare! #5. It is not considered an albino because it has blue eyes, not red. It was really, really, neat to see it - Tiffany, I think, was happy to be in held while we saw it. We got to see alot of other animals. Including: The pregnant elephant - she has only 20 more months to go!, the baby giraffe - born in November & penguins, bears, zebras, tigers...oh my! I was very happy to see that they still have the lion water fountain and not too surprised that my youngest brother, David, is taller than a gorilla! It only took from the exit gate to the car to make Tiffany (my niece) fall asleep!

New Adventures at Bear Lake

We had an awesome time at Bear Lake with Ryan's family! It was five days of fun with Guitar Hero, miniature golf, endless rounds of "Old McDonald Had a Farm" and swimming! The decor in the condo was .....retro. The use of wicker and orange photography was inspiring! We also got to go out on the lake and horse back ride, both of which, are firsts for me! I was really nervous, but glad that I bit the bullet. We went out on the lake and did some water skiing (Ryan was the king!) and tubing - LOOOOVE IT! THE MORE AIR THE BETTER BABY! At one point in the day we all decided to jump in the middle of the lake and we even convinced Ryan's Dad to join us! He was a good sport and jumped in - jean shorts and all! We also went horse back riding. Now the last time I had an encounter with a quadruped was at Megan's 6th birthday and she had a pony that would walk in circles. All I remember was whining to get on and then screaming to get off. I didn't scream when I got on the horse, but I did want my mommy! The horses name was Reuben and he was a really good horse! We went on a beautiful trail and by the end of the ride I was quite content to stay for another hour or so. I would definitely go again! And the raspberry shakes.........Aaaaaaaaaah! We had a wonderful time! To view the pictures it's just like a book. Click on a page and pull it back.
